My Father's Farmland is a compendium of autobiographical notes summarizing the life and times of a young lad and his family who went through thick and thin to break even, following the demise of their breadwinner. It's a very familiar story detailing events most average people go through. It also highlights the ordeal widows and orphans suffer and the cruelty they have to endure by certain elements in the society. The sudden shift in their once guarded existence does not prepare them for the subsequent events that were to unfold. But like the saying goes, "what doesn't kill you will only make you stronger," they were able to weather the storm through resilience and hard work. The book beams a searchlight on many of the evils plaguing our society. It is expected to serve as a source of inspiration and hope to the downtrodden. The simplicity of the language used, including the layout of the story are aimed at the optimum benefit and pleasure of the reader.
